Fence Maintenance

Pet proofing yards is an important part of our service. We can make a full report and action any improvements needed so your pet is safe.
We can manage all repairs and general maintenance on all types of fences: block fences, rendered fences, even Colorbond steel and your standard paling fence.
It is important to repair or replace broken boards, loose hinges or posts before they injure someone or cause any further damage to your property. Just as important is removing debris such as weeds and rocks from the fence perimeter regularly. If you have a wood fence, it is best to ensure that boards don’t contact the ground.
Your fence needs a good clean at least once a year. Washing with soap and a pressure cleaner will extend the life of your fence. Keeping gardens and vegetation off your fence is an important part of increasing longevity.

Insect Screens

Where possible, we will remove screens for cleaning outside. Mesh cleaning is best done with a gentle rinse from the garden hose, a gentle scrub with a soft bristle brush and warm soapy water, followed by a rinse with the hose.
In general, the insect screen frames, anodised or powder-coated aluminium should be cleaned in urban areas every three months and every six months in rural areas. In industrial and marine environments (within 1km of the sea), monthly cold water washing and three-monthly washes with warm water & detergent are necessary.
If your screens are coming to the end of their life, we can install new screens and frames where needed.

Regrouting Services
Extend the life of your wet areas.
Bathrooms, kitchens and laundries that have tiled surfaces often over time develop missing, discoloured, or damaged grout. Having the surface regrouted can look brand new again. We will remove the old grout and replace it, giving any tiled surface a fresh new finish.
Not only will the surface look brand new, but there will be an extended life added to the surface, as well. After we have completed our regrouting services, we have added years to its life because it will create a watertight area for many years.
Regrouting dramatically improves the appearance; it’s as if you had replaced the tile. Our trained operator will use professional tools to remove the grout from around the tiles and then place new grout between the tiles. Deck Maintenance
Mould and mildew can cause rot.
An unwashed deck is an invitation to mould and mildew, which can cause rot.
We will inspect on top and below your deck where possible. We can advise if there are any boards, nails or screws that need replacing. All moulds will be neutralised and removed. Not all cracks are a structural threat, but they’ll get worse with time. If we find damage, we will replace the piece.
All rails need a good shake to be sure posts are not loose or damaged. Loose connections need to be repaired with urgency.
We will advise you of any structural improvements that need to be made to your deck and handrails. The structural safety of your deck is important as it is usually in a location where it has to withstand all our weather extremes.
Solar Panel Cleaning
How often should I clean my solar panels?
Your solar panels should be cleaned about every 6 months. Late spring (Mid November) and late autumn (Mid May) are the best times to have them cleaned.
Your solar power system’s output may be reduced if your panels are covered in dust, dirt or grime. This is because the dust and built-up grime blocks the sunlight out and reduces its efficiency.
To get the full cost-saving benefit of solar power, it’s best to keep your panels relatively clean and free of debris. It is important that the washing of the panel is done with a biodegradable formula that will leave no film. In coastal areas regular washing also reduces the deterioration of the aluminium frames and fixtures from built-up salt.
Regular cleaning can do wonders to improve its efficiency and longevity. However, dust, dirt, pollen, bird droppings, and leaves can all take their toll on your solar system’s performance.
Mould Removal

Also, another place to check is on the outside of your house, near windows and doorways. The level of spores inside your house can increase with the airflow into your house via windows near high mould areas. The longer we wait to deal with it, the longer you will be exposed to mould spores. It can trigger nasal congestion, sneezing, coughing, respiratory infections and worsen asthma and allergic conditions.
Mould is a type of fungi and is present in the natural environment. It can be black, grey, green or white. Damp environments, like inside your home after wet weather, typically increase the number of mould spores.
Mould problems can come weeks, sometimes even months, after heavy rains. Non-porous surfaces like hard plastics will be easier to clean. But you’ll want to address those surfaces in and around your house made from natural material as soon as possible.
Low-Pressure Washing
When should a soft wash be done?
The benefit of soft washing is that less pressure is applied to a house, meaning there is a smaller chance of causing damage. Is soft washing safe? Yes. Through the correct use of biodegradable cleaning aids used, soft washing is a safe way to clean.
Soft washing is more time-consuming, but it is the best way to clean in some cases. Soft wash is best on soft timber surfaces and older houses where the paint quality may not be the best.
A pressure cleaner may still be used, but it is more to rinse off the surface once treated with cleaning aids rather than blasting it clean.
